Overtime Grill - Rochester - Awesome!! 5 Stars

The first time I visited the Overtime Grill I thought I was going to have a menu of "bar" food. What a pleasant surprise. Steaks, Seafood, Pasta, Salads - what more can you ask for. The food is CONSISTENTLY good. You never have to worry about going on a certain night. The staff is always busting their butts to make sure your visit is enjoyable and service is prompt and courteous. You will always see the owner, Lisa, going around to tables making sure everything is "ok". The quality and portions of the food is outstanding. The fish - exceptionally fresh. Fish fries - never greasy. Broiled scallops to die for and the steaks cooked to perfection! You want to have your favorite meal everytime you go, but at the same time want to try one of their new specials - knowing that it will be exquisite. Prices are definitely reasonable for the portions you get! Not in the area for dinner - then stop for the lunches - wraps, sandwiches, panini's - all to die for. If my income would allow it - we would eat there every night :) Always a great dining experience - a MUST try! A definite round of applause to the Chef!!!

Claire M- Walking into the Overtime Bar and Grill I was swept away by the fresh smell of popcorn and freshly baked bread. After putting our name into the hostess stand we made our way over to the bar. We were not waiting long before we were able to be seated. Looking through the menu I was pleased to see that we had a verity of choices. I choose to get the pasta Bianca. Upon receiving my meal I was excited to dig in. There was layers of pasta, broccoli, olives, and other vegetables covered with mozzarella cheese. If you don't enjoy something that comes on the pasta Bianca they are more then willing to alter the recipe to your likings. It was by far the best thing I had ever tasted!!! It was melt in your mouth good! I also tried some of my guest meals, one of the people I was with got a buffalo chicken wrap that was to die for. I've had buffalo chicken wraps before but none matched up to this one. It had the right amount of sauce that wasn't overwhelming but enough to have the chicken moist and delicious. Another person I was with got the capellini salad. Which is a ceaser salad on top of angel hair pasta. It was magnificent! It was also topped with chicken which was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend that salad. It was the best ceaser salad I had ever had, the pasta added to the flavor. The meal was served with a freshly baked loaf of bread. I was extremely satisfied with the food. And the service there was terrific. I am happy to say that the Overtime bar and Grill has made a life long costumer. Since my first visit there I have been going back every Friday night with my family and friends. Every week I try something new, and every week I fall in love with the meal. If you have not gone there yet I highly recommend that you go immediately!!!

Best Food in Rochester- 5 Stars
By Johnny - Being a young adult, I tend to eat on the road more than at my house. Although my wife can make a great meal we choose to enjoy each other's company and let someone else do the work. The Overtime Grill is our number one choice to eat. They have absolutely everything on the menu. From pasta dishes to steak, From fish fry to chicken wings (which by the way are the best wings i have ever had in my life) I will say that i was on edge with this place because i thought it was just another bar that served food, boy was i mistaken...it's a great establishment that happens to have a bar (which is seperate from the dinning room so it's very family friendly) I must say that the staff is very friendly and helpful. When I don't know what I want I just ask the server and they have never let me down :) They also have specials every Friday night, I go in for a fish fry but end up ordering a special and I have been completely satisfied every time. The place is ran by Family and friends from my understanding and that is probably the reason why this place runs like a well oiled machine. Thank you Lisa and Wayne for risking it all and opening up such a great place for all to enjoy. I walked in as a customer and left as a friend...And for that I thank you!

By Robert -As you walk in the door of The Overtime Grill your first impression is this is not just a sports bar anymore. Yes, they still have pool, shuffleboard, and darts but the remodeled dining room invites you in for a very relaxing dinner. The food, from appetizers to dessert is top notch. Some of my favorites are chicken wings, Buffalo chicken salad, and the steak bomber, which is served on a homemade roll. On Fridays, they serve only the freshest fish, including a fish fry and a buttercrumb haddock that melts in your mouth. The wait staff is experienced and very attentive and a number of them have been with owners, Lisa and Wayne Bowles, since they took over 8 years ago. Stop in and check out The Overtime Grill, I guarantee you will come back again and again.

We stopped in one Friday night and were pleasantly surprised. The meals were exceptional. Excellant Fish Fry. In later visits we had fantastic Italian dishes and at lunch time the Bomber! The specialized dish in Rochester is called the garbage plate. They have outdone the competition with their rubbish plate. We've traveled extensively including international and we'd put this restaurant in the top 5 of all restaurants we've visited!

One of the best meals I have ever had at a sports bar. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is cheerful. I recommend the Friday Fish Fry, Steak sandwich and barbecue pulled pork sandwich.

This is by far the best restaurant ever. Forget plain old bar food. I am a real finicky eater and this place has become my favorite. My husband who is not fussy, states that their food is "better" than a well known Italian restaurant. When asked where I want to go, this is the first place I pick. The service is great, the food always excellent. The owners always, always, stop and ask how everything is. The place is packed on Friday nights, so GO EARLY! If you need a place to spend your "OVERTIME" dollars, head to the "OVERTIME" Grill for the best meal at the best price.

The Haddock served at Overtime is so consistently uniform and delicious, I think Wayne & Lisa have their own Fish Monger... Richard likes to try different entries on the menu... Italian, Cajun, and breaded fish fry, and always the Rubbish Plate.....what a great variety with the specials offering something new to try. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the cocktails are mixed perfectly.. we prefer G-bread, and it's always served fresh & hot We cannot find a single negative ...Go to Overtime, you'll like it for sure

The dining room has a very relaxing atmosphere. Very friendly staff, and the food is outstanding. They have an amazing fish fry every Friday, the burgers are big and juicy, and the wraps rock!! I am hooked on the Philly Cheesesteak wrap!!

The OVERTIME GRILL!!......one word... MMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOOD!!!! (Ok two words).Where dose one start,... the food,...the owners,(Lisa & Wayne),... the staff. The food........well you allready know(see above).I've tried almost everything on the menu,(Marty says I did that the first night, nice friend...weeelll... maybe first week) makes my decisions long&difficult, and then there's the Fridaynight specials.Sometimes I have had to order two meals....."doggy bag please". Lisa&Wayne,at the Grill or elsewere, always great to be with,Lisa greets everyone with a smile, and some of us lucky ones, the Thursday night guys, get a hug.Wayne,one of the friendliest guys I know,my wife says he's not hard to look at,.."uuhh.... what.... hey I'm sittin right here".........Did I mention how good the food is?..... And the staff, great people always smiles&great service, they make our visits even more enjoyable, what else can I say. Why are there only 5 stars up there, COME ON, who's in charge here, Mr. Goolge?.Is it Thursday yet? Looking for my e-mail from Lisa, gotta know Friday specials.Even the other customers are friendly, especialy the regulars,....."where everyone knows your name".....isn't that in a song about another well know grill?It might have been as popular as Overtime,can't remember? Cpl Dan Johnson while stationed in Iraq has sent a wonderful piece of Marine artwork he and his troops have made to be put on display. It is a piece of helicopter blade with maps, flag and sand set up in a way to make all proud to be associated with this young man!
We may not agree with the war but we will always support those sent to fight it! Overtime Sports Bar and Grill has been silently sending Dan and his troops boxes full of items to make life easier by letting them know that they are not forgotten and all look forward to their return. As parents of Dan, we were moved by such kindness, we never knew that this establishment was doing such a kind thing!
